TRA2SH Stands for Trainee-Led Research and Audit in Anaesthesia for Sustainable Healthcare.
We are a group of Anaesthetic trainees bound by the same mission: to reduce the environmental impact of theatre waste, while maintaining the high standards of care delivered in Australia and New Zealand. Our goals are to collaborate and innovate to find new solutions to waste production and management.
Our Mission
To stimulate a positive culture change in sustainable practices in anaesthesia by promoting curiosity amongst trainees, encouraging reflection and problem-solving within departments, whilst upholding the highest standards of patient care.
Our Ideology
“Together, we are the solution”. TRA2SH is an independent trainee-led group, who does not endorse any political agendas or viewpoints. TRA2SH is assuming that all colleagues are doing the best they can for their patients, their families and the environment. Some may be able to give more than others at a given point in time and TRA2SH accepts that contributions also fluctuate at different points in time. TRA2SH does not promote judgement of colleagues' behaviours, attitudes or opinions. TRA2SH welcomes different viewpoints - solutions for sustainable health care, can be and must be found in all sectors.
